Warren Buffet is worth $91.3bil as of March 11, 2018. That is a lot of money and there are probably only less than 1% of the total population in the whole planet that would be able to obtain that sum of money. If you have been reading about stocks for a while now, you have probably encountered Warren Buffet’s name. He is known as the “Oracle of Omaha” and dubbed the most successful investor of all time. That is the primary reason why we should all be familiar with him and learn the way he invests and picks the right stocks.
Before deep diving into his core principles, strategy techniques and etc. in stock investing we should all be familiar on who are we following right? After all this is the person we will follow and therefore we should be confident that this person has the right experience, skill and history that he is indeed a successful investor.
Warren, is not born from poverty, he is actually a son of a congressman.
He lived a normal childhood except that he already displayed interest in building up businesses when he was still in high school. He actually wanted to skip college but this decision was over ruled by his father. He displayed his entrepreneurial side even when he was a kid. He sold all kinds of things from chewing gums to coca-cola bottles. He claims that he was inspired with the book that he read as a child and this book is titled, “One thousand ways to make $1,000”.
At age 11, be bought his first stock in Cities Service. Before he even
graduated he invested in several more stocks and even sold a business to a war veteran.
After highschool, Warren tried to enter Harvard University but failed. Later on he decided to enter Columbia
University after learning that Benjamin Graham, the best investor during his time, teaches there.
Benjamin Graham has a huge impact on Warren because while Warren has displayed an extraordinary gift in stocks and business ever since, his skills are honed and now he is the greatest investor, surpassing his mentor.
