Definition of Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is the education and understanding of various financial areas including topics related to managing personal finance, money and investing. This topic focuses on the ability to manage personal finance matters in an efficient manner, and it includes the knowledge of making appropriate decisions about personal finance such as investing, insurance, real estate, paying for college, budgeting, retirement and tax planning.

More then 80% Filipino are poor and in serious poverty – the reason is simple their parents are poor and not financially literate!! She believes this is not an excuse for the newer generation – “WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT OUR CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN ARE OUT OF POVERTY FOR GOOD WITH GOOD FINANCIAL EDUCATION”

And can you take a hot bath unless the wood for the fire undergoes a change? And can you be nourished unless the food undergoes a change? And can anything else that is useful be accomplished without change? Do you not see then that for yourself also to change is just the same, and equally necessary for the universal nature?”
